Massage Flow

Massage is one of the most incredible tools we can use to reach a state of peace, calmness and tranquility. There is different types of massage, but even the strongest technics if well applied will bring a sense of relieve and tranquility afterwards. But of course when choosing something a bite more gentle the body's response is noticeable quite quick. Not just the physical body but also the mind will be benefited from that treatment.

But some people might say... well I've had many massages and not always achieved that feeling, and I will say yes that is true, maybe not in every session the same blissful feeling will be gain, but I would "compare", not sure if it would be the right word to use, to a meditation experience. It is not every time you meditate you will have the same feeling, sometimes the mind is so wild that even trying to sit and meditate won't give the same feeling you may have experienced before. So it is with massages, if you are not willing to be open to receive, or if you allow your mind to flush away in thoughts and worries, your body won't feel the same benefits as if you would when you lie down and is present to feel the flow of the movements, breathing deeper when your therapist find that spot or knots, allowing the body to feel, and to let go of the pain sensation, instead of reacting to it and tensing up more and more.

Many people come to us therapists and say, I need a deep tissue massage... well is it really what your body needs? Sometimes you have been over exercising, or you are super stressed, or you have been working like crazy, and then you come for a deep tissue massage and every time it hurts you hold your breath and tense up more... the therapist asks Is it ok? and the client answers : yes that's totally fine I can handle it.... Handle what? more pain? and more stress spread out through your entire nervous system ? Yes our body is a perfect machine, it is incredible smart and works in a magic way, you can handle a lot in life, but what is that we all looking for? Peace, tranquility, harmony, good health, joy.... and it goes on... so why not just lying down on a massage table, open to receive what your body really needs... the flow of movements, your breathe and the knowledge of your therapist understanding that every body is different and has different needs in different moments. Being a therapist empathy is important to the right understanding of your clients needs so you can deliver a good treatment to each of them. The technics are there for us therapists to explore and help others to feel better through the connections of body mind and spirit.

Massage is a magic tool we have to release not only stiffness and pain from the body but also energy blockages. I've noticed how many people cry while having a massage, as sometimes they say, I don't even know why I'm crying but I felt a relief. That is because our physical body store memories in energy form, and when you relax and allow it to be removed from the body the release comes. The blood circulation is increased and so it is also increased the amount of oxygen into your muscles. Breath is the key connector of body mind and spirit, when you are open to feel that flow your body and mind find that peaceful connection to the soul.
